Vernis mou etching, handmade intaglio printing with blind embossing on 300 g/m² Hahnemühle handmade copper printing board 30 x 40 cm, natural white, acid-free, age-resistant. I transferred dried maple leaves onto the zinc plate using a soft ground etching. The finest leaf structures become visible during printing. Limited Edition #17

The young maple leaves (harvested until April) are healthy and edible. They taste good in soups, salads, as a spinach alternative or as a tea infusion. You can make maple syrup from the flowers.
Maple has anti-inflammatory, fever and blood pressure lowering effects.
Fresh leaves can be placed directly on insect bites or bruises to provide relief.
